Timelapses compress time, revealing the wonders of changing light over the landscape. Cloud formations flowing over mountain ranges, shadows & light moving across the scene.

Timelapse photography is not only a way to appreciate the changing nature of a scene over time, but also a means for the photographer to deepen involvement with the composition and the conditions of a landscape. In the best of circumstances, changes in lighting, passing clouds, a rainbow, or a storm front can dramatically alter the nature of the imagery to render a new, unexpected scene atmosphere and emotion.
These are hidden gems I seek out.
