MARESA Brand Positioning & Rebranding

We have created a brand positioning and identity for MARESA, a leading logistics group generating total yearly revenues of 35 million euros. MARESA employs 300 professionals and is supported by over 100 external collaborators. The company operates with 52,000 square meters of logistics capacity in the main industrial centers of Spain and operates a fleet of more than 300 semi-light and heavy vehicles, many of which are equipped for controlled temperature transport. The logistics group provides international forwarding, transit, and customs management, industrial packing and logistics, and integral logistics services in Madrid, Catalonia, Levante, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, and the Balearic Islands.

The new Maresa brand is the result of the merger of two competitors: Marítimas Reunidas SA (MARESA) and Martín e Hijos, each with its own identities and histories to be carried over into the new company’s narrative. It was agreed to name the new company with the existing MARESA name, as it was the most suited to the new positioning and aspirations for the brand. We worked with the client over several months to develop the brand strategy and positioning platform as the roadmap for the new identity, as well as for their new communications elements and design formats.
